Cobb and Co. Book SERIES

Author: Hazel Johnson
Narrator: Sam Gaston

Venture into Australia’s Legendary Coaching Era

Picture
Step into the times of Cobb & Co., where bushrangers lurked in the shadows, floods and fires tested endurance, and the spirit of adventure prevailed. Experience the thrill and peril of early coach travel—a time shaped by courage, grit and resilience.

Meet the pioneers who operated 'under the style of Cobb and Co.', along with other bold trailblazers who helped shape modern Australia. From 1854 to 1924, Cobb & Co. was more than a coach service—it was a lifeline. Connecting communities, delivering mail, and carrying passengers across the vast, untamed landscape.

This captivating book series presents a vivid tapestry of daily life—from amusing anecdotes and poetic charm to authentic tales of heroism—drawn from firsthand accounts and historical archives.

Featuring over 600 photographs, each page opens a window into the spirit and struggles of Australia’s pioneering past.

"A historically significant book series by Australia’s most acclaimed Cobb & Co. author, an essential read for history enthusiasts."
John Osborne OAM, Toowoomba, Queensland
